GIN PUERTO DE INDIAS LAUNCH 2019, LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM
For this event launch, we were given a photograph of an entranceway with balloons as a brief – our client asked us to make black strawberries in place of the balloons. We nailed it! The professional lighting reflecting off each strawberry provided a magical finishing touch.
The social media campaign that accompanied this brilliantly successful product launch makes a great case study, and we are very proud to have played our part in its success.
Gin brand Puerto de Indias created a storytelling experience to introduce its ‘It’s not pink, it’s Puerto’ original strawberry gin to the UK. Targeting 25- to 45-year-olds, the campaign kicked off in early June 2019 with a social tease campaign to #followtheblackstrawberry. This consisted of influencers posting a series of cryptic clues from ‘The Little Black Book of Unconventionality’ to create intrigue among followers and give them the chance to win a coveted ticket to attend the launch party. The online activity was amplified by large-scale projections of the black strawberry icon beamed onto sites across London.
Taking place at White Space, Covent Garden, the immersive brand experience took guests through a series of theatrically imagined rooms inspired to bring to life the pioneering story of the brand. Guided through the experience by an array of characters, guests hand-picked strawberries from a strawberry wilderness, tasted visually striking cocktails and contributed to a live typographic art installation. The guest experience culminated in a dramatic space adorned with inflatable sculptures of the iconic black strawberries, where they were entertained by a contemporary twist on Flamenco against an eclectic DJ set with Spanish beats while tasting the delicious tapas inspired by the black-and-pink colour palette. It was a party of note!
